Official Groundbreaking for the New Home of Honda in Downey

L.A. Honda World Hosted a Ceremony to Break Ground on 90,000 square foot State-of-the-Art Facility
The new building will be the first Generation Four, ground-up Honda facility in the United States
DOWNEY, Calif. – L.A. Honda World has announced the groundbreaking ceremony for its new
flagship facility, marking a significant milestone in the history of Honda in Downey embodying
progress, growth, and the promise of a brilliant future. The ceremony took place on Friday,
January 26th , 2024 at 11 am directly across from their current location at 10645 Studebaker Rd
in Downey.
With a strong emphasis on sustainability, the new dealership will offer automotive sales and
service and introduce a body shop in the second phase of development. The facility is expected
to generate between thirty-five and fifty new employment opportunities and contribute to
the local economy, reinforcing L.A. Honda Worlds role as a partner to the community.
Additionally, the facility will include electric vehicle charging stations, the latest advanced
diagnostics and innovative technology solutions to redefine the automotive experience for its
customers.
American Honda has evolved not only their cars, but the design of the new franchise model to
align with futuristic automotive technologies which will be showcased at this modern facility.
Like many historic firsts in Downey, this new Honda facility will be a destination for those
interested in experiencing an unparalleled ownership experience from start to finish.
Additionally, the new facility will pay homage to the past with a planned history exhibit showing
the dealership’s history in the City of Downey. Customers will be able to go through memory
lane inside the dealership with a special tribute to the famous automotive corner – where the
I-5 and 605 meet in Downey.
