Hey there,
Been driving around, and noticing an unsettling amount of gas stations tipping the $3.50 mark for gas recently? Well you’re not alone, the nations average gas price is on the rise, again. While the factors leading to the increase may still remain a mystery, how to deal with them should not.
Here at Honda World Downey, we feel having a two-prong approach to this situation is not only best for our customers, but our community at large during this recent spike in gas pricing.
Take for instance our aggressive pricing on one of the Honda Insight, This hybrid hatchback is the leader in its class with 41 mpg, and it starts at about $1,600 less than previous model years.
We also have offerings on our new Honda Civic Hybrid. All-new for 2012, the Civic Hybrid gets a solid jump in fuel economy with a 44 mpg city and 44 mpg highway rating. Much of the increase comes as a result of a new lithium-ion battery (replacing the old nickle metal hydride unit) and is the first example of a Li-On battery being used in a production Honda. In addition, Honda has replaced the 1.3-liter 4-cylinder engine with a 1.5-liter, meaning that not only is fuel economy up, but power gets a slight bump too, to 110-hp and 127 lb-ft.
But it’s not only about having the right vehicle to take advantage of precision fuel engineering, but we feel you should also save on the gas you will eventually have to get at some point. This where our second prong is most effective. Below we’ve added a website you can go to to look in your local neighborhood for the gas stations with the lowest prices for gas. Even if you don’t come in today to get a new or used fuel efficient Honda, we feel you should still save.
Happy driving.
